FITS ON A BOOKSHELF: the Meinl Mini Cajon has the same build as our traditional size wood cajons but scaled-down for room décor; it's small enough for a desk, end table, or bookshelf.
MADE IN EUROPE: we craft the Mini Cajon in Europe from Baltic birch wood, which is also used in standard-size Meinl cajons for its elegant look and sound.
WHY IT MATTERS: it's a fun, novelty size drum that's a perfect gift for musicians; also great if you're hunting for an earthy, unique wooden piece for your home's aesthetic.
LOOKING INSIDE: comes with a fixed set of snare wires just like real Meinl snare cajons; the snare is fitted against the inside of the front playing surface.
OF NOTE: you can use the Mini Cajon however you want, but the design is mainly for fun room décor; the playing surface does give a nice tone if you want to tap on it; it's also fun for younger players.
BY THE NUMBERS: measures 8 3/4" H x 5 3/4" W x 5 3/4" D (about the size of a small toaster).
