The Sequiriya line from Meinl Artisan Edition Cajons offers a wide dynamic range of highs and lows, thanks to the adjustable strings and an extra thick wooden sound port ring for bass compression. The 9-ply, 12mm thick Baltic Birch resonating body develops a full, punchy tone that projects with clarity and warmth, while the decorative wood inlay adds a touch of elegance to their appearance. The Sequiriya line comes with a choice of Canyon-Burl or Indian Heartwood front plates, each providing a unique tonal character.

At the heart of the Sequiriya's sound are two sets of eight micro-coiled metal Cajon strings, hand-wound in the style of master Cajon builder Jose "Pepote" Hernandez Diaz. These strings create a snapping snare effect and are adjustable with the included tuning key, allowing players to fine-tune the response to their liking.

Pepote is recognized as a master cajon craftsman, having tested countless wood combinations, varnishes, and design elements to create the ultimate instrument.
