Meinl's Snarecraft professional cajons combine a warm tonal quality with articulate rhythmic punctuation, giving players a focused sound and wide dynamic range. These Cajon, made of Baltic birch wood, respond with a punchy low-end thud and crisp slap tones.

The highly expressive snare sounds come from adjustable snares that can be dialed-in using the knob located on the side of the Cajon. Turning the knob changes the amount of pressure the snares have, altering their sensitivity. The snares can also be turned completely off.

Rounded corners on the playing surface offer total comfort while maximizing your touch. This feature provides players with a choice to play with a crisp snare tone or without snare for a hollow conga/bongo effect, simply by turning the mechanical dial on the side to switch the sound.

The mechanical dial is attached to two internal sets of coiled steel snare wires. Turning the dial either places the snares against the playing surface or pulls them away. A quick turn of the dial is all that's needed to switch between the two sound options.

The Cajon's 9-ply Baltic birch body and walnut frontplate produce a rich, crisp, and full wood tone. The frontplate is formed to match the body 1-to-1 for outstanding sound and feel.

The rounded top corners provide exceptional hand contact with more comfort, and they also make it easier to get precise sound with cutting slap tones. Measuring 11 ¾" W x 19 ¾" H x 12" D and weighing 11 lbs, the full-size Cajon has enough volume for any room and is made to last with a solid frame that supports adults.

The Cajon is versatile, suitable for use alongside guitars at acoustic shows, with worship music, in the studio, or at outdoor jams. Four solid silicone feet keep the Cajon stable, avoid scratches, and eliminate vibrations on any surface.
