The MEINL Caxixis are hand-woven with a coconut bottom, providing a crystal-clear, high-pitched sound with great projection. This caxixi (also called a basket shaker) is hand-woven with all-natural rattan, which gives it a soft sound texture with a mellow, earthy timbre, as well as a unique look, with each one slightly different due to the handmade design.

The natural dried coconut shell cap on the bottom can be used to play accent notes, allowing you to mix up your shaker patterns. The Meinl caxixi is versatile, suitable for use in drum sets, percussion, live or studio work, as well as in drum circles, shaman healing journeys, meditation, sound baths, yoga, and musical gatherings, or for achieving relaxing trance states.
